Standard Oil Co (of Kentucky) Stock 1928

1928 Standard Oil Co of Kentucky Stock Certificte. Company was incorporated in 1886 and was part of the John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil Trust, which was broken up in a historic 1911 Supreme Court Case. Standard Oil of Kentucky was one of 34 of the Standard Oil pieces resulting from that breakup. It's regional market covered the states of Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Standard Oil of Kentucky remained independent until it merged with Standard Oil of California (Chevron) in 1961. Standard Oil stock certificates from the 1920s are rarely seen. This scripophily document is in VF+ condition with small punch cancellation spelling out "cancelled."
