189_ St Louis Avoyelles & Southwestern Railroad Stock Certificate. Very attractive unissued Louisiana railroad scripophily document with vignette of steam locomotive coal train on curve flanked by vignettes of sugar cane harvesting scenes. The St Louis Avoyelles & Southwestern Railroad was incorporated in 1894 in Louisiana. Its successor th St Louis Avoyelles & Southwestern Railway constructed local lines between Bunkie and Simmonsport and between Junction and Marksville. Eventually became Avoyelles RR, which was taken over by the Texas and Pacific RW. This antique stock certificate is in EF condition.
