1916 Reo Motor Car Co Stock Certificate. Classic scripophily document of important early car manufacturer with allegorical females on both sides of REO emblem. The Reo Motor Car Co was founded in 1904 by Ransom E. Olds, whose initials form the company name. The Oldsmobile line at GM was named after him. The company manufactured automobiles until 1936, and trucks after that. It was bought out in the 1950s, eventually becoming a subsidiary of White Motors. Its most famous cars were the Reo Flying Cloud introduced in 1927, the Reo Royale 8 of 1931, and the REO Speed Wagon, an ancestor of the pickup truck. This antique stock certificate is in VF+ condition.
