1892 Ohio & Mississippi Railway Stock Certificate. Very attractive steam locomotive vignette on this scripophily document. The Ohio and Mississippi Railway operated between Cincinnati, Ohio, and East St. Louis, Illinois from 1857 to 1893. On October 6, 1866, an Adams Express Co car was robbed by the Reno Gang just east of Seymour, Indiana becoming the first train robbery in US history. In 1893, the Ohio & Mississippi merged with the Baltimore and Ohio SW RW, which is now part of CSX Transportation. This antique stock certificate is in VF+ condition.
