1891 North American Co Stock Certificate. The North American Company was formed in 1890 by the German-American entrepreneur Henry Villard. Originally a Railroad holding company that owned the Oregon and Transcontinental RR, it gradually evolved into a utility and streetcar holding company in the 20th century. The North American Co was one of twelve of the original DOW companies in 1896. This nifty scripophily document is in VF condition.
