1930s Lehigh Coal & Navigation Stock Certificate. Attractive 20th century scripophily document from this old historic Pennsylvania company with vignettes of the companys founders. The Lehigh Coal & Navigation Co is the successor company to the Lehigh Coal Co. and the Lehigh Navigation Co, both of which operated in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania beginning in 1818. The earlier companies owned and operated an extensive system of coal mines in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties, two canals, the Lehigh Canal and the Delaware Division of the Pennsylvania Canal, and a railroad system, the Lehigh and Susquehanna RR. Certificate is in VF+ condition.
