International Gordon Bennett Race Certificate 1912

1912 International Gordon Bennett Race Membership Certificate sponsored by Aero Club of America and Aero Club of Illinois. Beautiful scripophily document with vignette of race trophy, early aeroplane and three winners of prior races. The first Gordon Bennett race was held in Rheims, France in 1909 and won by Glenn Curtiss. Subsequent races won by Claude Grahame-White in 1910 and Charles Terres Weymann in 1911. This antique certificate is in EF condition.
