1869 Glens Falls RR Bond Certificate.Ê Unusual scarce upstate New York railroad bond (15.5" wide x 9.5" tall, without coupons) with woodcut vignette of canal boat in foreground and train on bridge in background.Ê The Glens Falls RR was chartered in 1867 and connected Fort Edward and Caldwell NY.Ê It was leased in perpetuity to the Rensselaer & Saratoga RR, who eventually transferred title to the Delaware & Hudson Canal Co.Ê Scarce scripophily document in VF+ condition (bond has full borders on top and both sides, bottom cut close where coupons were cut).
