188_ Brush Electric Light & Power Stock Certificate. Early unissued electrical equipment manufacturing stock registered in Montana but with Brush Electric Company factory (shown in vignette) located in Cleveland Ohio. Brush was the brilliant inventor of the electric arc light and the dynamo to generate the electricity to provide power for arc lighting systems in cities. Brush Electric merged with its competitor Thompson-Houston Electric Company in 1889, which in turn merged with Edison General Electric Company in 1891 to form General Electric Company. This antique stock certificate is in EF condition.
