1899 Baltimore Fire Insurance Co Stock Certificate. The Baltimore Fire Insurance Co was the oldest public stock fire insurance company in the U.S., obtaining its charter in 1787. It was operating when the devastating fire of February, 1904 burned much of the commercial district of Baltimore. It is unclear whether this company survived that disaster. This antique stock certificate is in VF+ condition.
